Giving children a healthy beginning

Take care of teeth from the start

Begin bringing your children to the dentist as soon as their first teeth appear. If you can’t, do so no later than their third birthday. Continue to bring your child for checkups and cleanings every 6 months to maintain optimal oral health. If your child has tooth pain, use warm saltwater or a cool washcloth and schedule an appointment immediately.

Modern teeth fillings

If your child needs a filling, rest-assured we will never use silver fillings and always use a tooth-colored material.

When accidents happen

Be sure to take care of your children’s teeth always, including during sports activities. If a permanent tooth does get knocked out, insert it where it belongs and see us immediately. If baby teeth are lost early, we can use a space maintainer for when adult teeth grow in.

Also, always make sure they brush with fluoride toothpaste to decrease the chance of cavities. But, if baby teeth experience decay, it’s important to take care of this during dental visits.
